An incredible antique item. We believe this to be a horse hair fuzi. This broom like item was originally made to swat flies away from cattle before taking on a more spiritual meaning and being used by Taoists and Buddhist monks to clear bad spirits out of the environment. 

This is an intricately carved piece - the top sections depict robed figures and stunning tree studded scenery whilst the base has the most incredible floral designs. The top is piericed with a hole and has fine string to hang the item up with. The horse hair brush is lopsided, probably from being stored sitting down rather than hung up. 

We would say that this is a 7/10 condition, and would recommend a thorough, but gentle clean.
