DATE: Georgian, c.1800

A rare and exquisite Georgian seal fob with secret compartment hidden in the base, underneath the bloodstone intaglio panel. The base is carved with the words "Never Forget" in French (n'oublie jamais), and there's a glass locket inside with an intricately woven lock of hair - indicating it's status as a memorial piece. The top of the base is fluted, and the frame modelled as two loops of rope; all crafted in 15 karat gold.
